Kenya - Africa’s most popular tourist destination has a warm and pleasant climate, beautiful coastal beaches, amazing coral reefs, marine national parks and of course amazing wildlife. Holidays can also be combined with a stay in the Seychelles or Mauritius – perfect for a romantic luxury honeymoon in the Indian Ocean.

Kenya’s Coastal Areas

Kenya has over 300 miles of tropical coastline, with pristine white sandy beaches, swaying palm trees and the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.  Kenya’s coastline has some wonderful four and five star hotels allowing visitors to kick back and relax before, perhaps enjoying a safari.

There are some fantastic hotels found around the Diani Beach area such as the Leopard Beach Resort & Spa, Baobab Beach Resort and the Indian Ocean Beach Resort. All three are only 90 minutes from Mombasa Airport. On the Nyali coast, found north of Mombasa, visitors looking for an All Inclusive holiday in Kenya would find the Voyager Beach Resort which has a beautiful beachfront location.  There is a fabulous array of water-sports and diving and snorkelling opportunities available from the coastal resorts in Kenya. At certain time of the year there are some great holiday offers to be found in Kenya.

Malindi is a small town which has idyllic beaches and is home to the Dream of Africa hotel, a superb five star boutique hotel which is offered on a All Inclusive board basis. Watamu is home to a marine national park which is perfect for diving and snorkelling in Kenya.

Kenya Safaris.

Of course it goes without saying that a holiday in Kenya would not be complete without enjoying a safari and the chance to see the BIG FIVE (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant) in their natural habitat.  Try a Safari at the Masai Mara Game Reserve with its hundreds of square miles of open plains, rivers and forest where big cats and herds of elephants can be seen alongside Zebra, Giraffes and Rhinos.  Visitors to Masai Mara from June to September can observe the remarkable annual Great Wildebeest Migration, a remarkable sight to enthral the senses, where all the wildebeests gather and cross the Mara River in one large herd creating an amazing wildlife experience alike no other on earth. Amboseli National Park and the National Parks of Tsavo East and Tsavo West can also be booked from stays in Mombasa.

There is such a diverse choice of safari's in Kenya that the one you choose will all depend on how long you want to stay, what you want to see and how you want to travel. We always advise a thorough talk with one of our reservation staff to see which safari will suit you.  For some guidance though you can choose from driving safaris perfect for observing more of the country and often the cheapest way to travel or flying safaris that involve travelling by light aircraft to the camp(s) to save on travelling time but a vehicle will still be used for game viewing.  You will need to decide if you are to visit a National Park or a Private Game reserve. National Parks are the most popular safari as they are much larger, have the biggest array of wildlife and good choices of accommodation to suit all budgets but bear in mind a lot of other tourists will be travelling by similar vehicles too. If you opt for the quieter Private Game Reserves these are generally more expensive but the benefits outweigh the extra cost such as less people observing the game, more freedom to drive anywhere and a better standard of accommodation.
